Webinar on "Empowering Indigenous Voices in Impact Assessment"

Switch to Threaded View
Discussion started by Bridget John 2 years ago - Edited by Bridget John 2 years ago

Join Kēpa Morgan and Tūmanako Faaui in early December as they present a Māori approach to impact assessment, using work completed investigating the 2011 grounding of the MV Rena container ship on Otāiti (Astrolabe reef) in The Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, and its associated impacts. This indigenous-based approach has provided an avenue for effective empowerment and inclusion of the worldviews and knowledge of local Māori communities affected by the disaster.
