The author has completed a global literature reivew on mining impacts as resoiurce material for the preparation of UN Human Development Report for Afghanistan. The executive summary of the report together with the table of contents is attached for information. The survey reveals 39 different impacts; a glaring number of 26 impacts are socio-economic whilst 13 are environmental impacts. The survey could not find any evidence on  impacts attributable to offshore mining.
